Tea Time con Baies d'Erelle y Viva Frida / Tea Time with Baies d'Erelle and Viva Frida

(English version below)

Hi!! In this oporunity I want to invite you all to a beautifull and very important, at least for me of course..., event. Everything started at the Edelweiss showroom that took place last week in Geneva. My friend Barbara with her lovely boutique Viva Frida was there and so was I! I already spoke about her in my very first post. I love everything in her boutique!! She shared the room with Erelle from Baies d'Erelle, she is a very talented bijoux designer. All her creations burst good taste and creativity. Between them two the most beutiful ideas can come out... So this is the first!!! They organized a private sell with their most pretty creations in a cosy and friendly environment, so we can share the moment with them, get to know them better and of course be there to see the very best selections they have offer.

The girls proposed me to be in charge of the tea and treats!! this is very exciting for me too because I will be albe to share with you what I do, waht I love to do so much. There will be alfajores, cupcakes and more! I will do my best to make you feel at home between friends!
For those of you who would like to join us we only ask for a confirmation just by leaving a comment or contacting me by e-mail, so we can offer you the best service.

On the meantime I show you some images I took in the showroom and also some cookies I prepared for that event with the recipe of course!!

Receta / Recipe

For this recipe either you need two baking sheets or one but large. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
In a bowl mix together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Separately, in a bigger bowl, whisk together two eggs, sugar, vanilla, lemon zests, and lemon juice. Add the flour mixture and stir until well blended, then mix in the toasted almonds*.
Divide the dough in half and place each half on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or silicone baking mats or whatever you have to avoid stitching. Using damped hands, shape each half into 33 by 6 cm log. If you are using only one baking sheet, put the logs separated from each other, very separated!!
In a small bowl, whisk the remaining egg and generously brush the log with it. Repeat the brushing.
Bake until the logs are firm and golden brown, this will take around 25 to 30 minutes. The logs will flatten during baking.
Remove the baking sheet form the oven and decrease the oven temperature to 150°. Let the logs cool down and then transfer them to a cutting board. With a serrated knife, slice each log crosswise into 3 cm bars. Place the cookies cut side up, in a single layer in a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Let them cool completely.

You can store these cookies for up to 1 week in an airtight container.

*The almonds can be toasted cut in halves in a skillet for 5 minutes while stirring or the entire almonds can be toasted in the oven at 180°C for 5 minutes tossing the baking sheet form time to time.

  1. Hola!

Voy a intentar pasarme!
